Police launch probe into Idarah Fallah-u-Darain over ‘unlawful activities’

Baramulla, Nov 24: Baramulla Police have launched an investigation into alleged unlawful activities linked to a local association identified as Idarah Fallah-u-Darain, officials said on Tuesday. The action follows specific information received by the police, prompting the registration of FIR No. 208/2025 at Police Station Baramulla. Police said that during the course of the investigation, multiple coordinated raids were carried out at several premises and locations associated with the organisation. Officers also questioned a number of individuals linked to the association as part of the evidence-gathering process. A senior police official said the inquiry is progressing on priority. “The investigation is active and ongoing. Further legal action will be taken strictly based on evidence and findings that emerge during the probe,” the official added. Authorities have not yet disclosed additional details about the nature of the alleged activities, citing the sensitivity of the investigation.
