Police arrest drug peddler in Pulwama

Pulwama, Nov 26: In a sustained effort to curb the menace of drug trafficking, Police in Pulwama arrested a drug peddler and recovered huge quantity of contraband substance from his possession. According to a statement issued here, Police team a checkpoint established at Newa Pulwama, intercepted an individual identified as Rafiq Ahmad Shah son of Bashir Ahmad Shah resident of Newa Pulwama. During search, 16.5 kilograms of Charas powder–like substance was recovered. Subsequently, he has been arrested. Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 277/2025 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Pulwama, and investigation is underway.
