Ahead of the Pakistan talks, Iran's Parliamentary Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf drew attention ahead of talks with US officials after displaying photographs of alleged child victims aboard their flight to Islamabad. In a post on X, Ghalibaf wrote, "My Companion on this flight."

In a post on X , Tasnim News Agency wrote, "An Iranian negotiating delegation led by Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf arrived in Islamabad on Friday for talks with US officials, carrying with them pictures and items stained with the blood of child martyrs from Minab as evidence of American war crimes,"
