Srinagar, April 23: The Meteorological Centre Srinagar has forecast largely stable weather conditions across Jammu and Kashmir till the end of April, with only brief spells of rain and thunderstorms expected on select days.
According to the latest forecast, no major weather activity is anticipated across the Union Territory, except for intermittent light rain and thundershowers between April 24–25 and again around April 28.
On April 23, the weather is expected to remain partly cloudy, with a brief spell of light rain, thunder, or gusty winds at a few places towards late afternoon.
From April 24 to 25, conditions are likely to turn partly to generally cloudy, with one or two short spells of light rain or thundershowers at scattered to many locations. Gusty winds are also expected at isolated places during afternoon and evening hours.
The weather is expected to improve on April 26–27, remaining largely dry, although brief light rain at isolated places cannot be ruled out during afternoon hours.
On April 28, skies will again turn generally cloudy, with light rain or thunder activity expected at a few places. Similar conditions are likely to persist on April 29–30 and continue into May 1–2, with brief afternoon spells of rain or thundershowers at isolated locations.
The MeT Centre has advised farmers to suspend agricultural operations during April 24–25 in view of possible rain and gusty winds.
