Gulzarin Akhtar, Noor-ud-din among 4 promoted to Joint Commissioners of Income Tax

Srinagar, Dec 31: Authorities on Wednesday promoted four senior Kashmiri Indian Revenue officers to the rank of Joint Commissioners of Income Tax. According to a statement issued here, the officers include Gulzarin Akhtar (civil code 15507), Noor-ud-din (civil code 15508), Shakil Ahmad Ganie (Civil Code 16035) Syed Junaid Aadil (civil code 16169). Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue Central Board of Direct Taxes in an order said, “The President is pleased to appoint following officers to the grade of Joint Commissioner of Income Tax (JCIT) …” Across the country at least over 266 officers of Indian Revenue Service were promoted on the last day year 2025. On promotion, officers shall continue to hold the charge of the post, which they were holding before promotion, till their formal posting is ordered.
