FTII holds 2nd general body meeting

Srinagar, Dec 13: The Federation of Trade and Industry of India (FTII) Kashmir Chapter held its 2nd General Body Meeting on  Friday, 12.12.2025 in Srinagar, following the inaugural meeting on 18.11.2025.
According to a statement issued here, the session aimed to reassess the pressing challenges faced by the trade community, incorporating valuable suggestions from Core Committee members, including General Secretary Ufair Ajaz Kitab and chapter president Er. Showkat Qayoom.
Key discussions focused on operational issues affecting local business transactions, fostering healthy dialogue for effective decision-making.
Committee members Bilal Ahmed Wani (Vice President), Qasir Ahmed (Secretary), and Sajad Ahmed Kuchay (Joint Secretary) devised actionable strategies to create a more conducive environment for trade and industry. Special appreciation was extended to the Divisional Administration, especially the Divisional Commissioner of Kashmir, Deputy Commissioners, and the J&K Bank.
 The Chairman of J&K Bank and its top management were also acknowledged for their vital support in implementing the Mission Yuva initiative, which has significantly enhanced local employment opportunities.
Moreover, the FTII underlined the essential role of the Employment Exchange, particularly the SBDU (Single Window Clearance System) and the BHDS (Business Home Delivery System).  This collaboration is aimed at streamlining the employment process and connecting local businesses with potential candidates, thereby fostering an ecosystem that promotes job creation and supports the local workforce.
