Day-2: Budgam admin intensifies outreach, grievance redressal

Budgam, Dec 20: The observance of the nationwide Good Governance Week “Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore” entered its second day in Budgam on Saturday with the District Administration intensifying citizen outreach and service delivery initiatives across the district.

On the second day, a series of grievance redressal and public outreach camps were held at block and panchayat levels, focusing on disposal of fresh and pending grievances registered on various online and offline platforms. The camps witnessed active participation from the public, with officers ensuring on the spot resolution of issues wherever possible.

Awareness and facilitation camps related to online public services were further strengthened, enabling citizens to access e-services and benefit from government schemes in a hassle-free manner. Special emphasis was laid on saturation of social security schemes and inclusion of eligible beneficiaries under ongoing welfare programmes.

Officials from different line departments interacted with citizens, addressing concerns related to Mission YUVA, PM Shram Yogi Maan-Dhan Yojana, social welfare schemes and other flagship initiatives. The interactions provided a platform for direct feedback and effective problem-solving.

Special Gram Sabhas and community meetings were also organised across various Panchayat Halqas, focusing on grievance redressal, awareness of government programmes and strengthening participatory governance at the grassroots level.

The District Administration Budgam reiterated its resolve to ensure transparent, accountable and citizen-centric governance, stating that activities under Good Governance Week “Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore” will continue in the coming days to bring governance closer to the people
