Ganderbal, Dec 13: Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader, Ravinder Raina on Saturday visited Baba Nagri in Kangan area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district to offer condolences to the family of Bilal Ahmad Sangoo, who was killed in the Delhi bomb blast. Raina met the bereaved family members and expressed sympathy with the father and relatives of the victim. Speaking to reporters on the occasion, he said Bilal Ahmad Sangoo was a resident of Baba Nagri, Kangan, and described the incident as deeply tragic and heart-wrenching. “The entire area of Baba Nagri, Lar Sharif and Kangan is engulfed in grief. I met people here today, and every person has tears in their eyes and pain in their hearts,” Raina said. He termed the killing of the young man as a grave loss, adding that Sangoo belonged to a humble background and was working hard to support his family. Raina said that terrorism over the last three to four decades has inflicted immense suffering on the people of Kashmir. “A bullet or a bomb does not differentiate between religion. It only kills innocent people. Such acts are nothing but the murder of humanity,” he said. Calling for an end to violence, the BJP leader said bombs, bullets, grenades and bloodshed must stop, as the pain endured by families who lose their loved ones in such incidents is unbearable. He remarked that the Kashmir Valley has witnessed devastation for decades due to terrorism and described it as a great injustice to humanity. Raina also blamed Pakistan for promoting terrorism, stating that no form of violence can ever be justified or sympathised with. “This massacre must stop. It is completely wrong,” he added.
