JKBOSE Declares Class 10 Jammu Results: 88.85% Students Qualify Exam ;Girls Outshine Boys

Srinagar, April 21:The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) on Tuesday declared the results of the annual regular Class 10 examinations for the summer zone areas of the Jammu division, recording an overall pass percentage of 88.85 across the Union Territories.

According to official figures, a total of 50,754 students had enrolled for the examinations. Of these, 45,094 students successfully cleared the exams, while 5,650 candidates were unable to qualify.

The gender-wise analysis of the results reflects a continued trend of better performance by female students. Out of 27,486 male candidates who appeared in the examinations, 24,054 passed, registering a pass percentage of 87.51. In comparison, 23,268 female candidates appeared, of whom 21,040 qualified, achieving a higher pass percentage of 90.42.

The results once again highlight the consistent academic edge maintained by girls over boys in board examinations across the region.

Officials have termed the overall performance as satisfactory, noting steady improvement in pass percentages in recent years.
