UP youth’s body retrieved from Jhelum on 5th day at Zaina Kadal

Srinagar, Apr 27 : The body of the Uttar Pradesh youth, who had jumped into river Jhelum on April 22, was retrieved on Monday by SDRF teams at Old Zaina Kadal in Srinagar after five days of searches, officials said.

An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that SDRF QRT Jhelum teams recovered the body from the river during the operation this morning.

The deceased was identified as Mohd Quresh Siddiqi (18), son of Mohd Nawab Siddiqi, a resident of Uttar Pradesh.

Officials said the body was handed over to police and has been shifted for medico-legal formalities.—(KNO)
