Mirwaiz Umar Farooq Expresses Grief Over Demise of Muqeem Asmi, Days After Father’s Passing

Srinagar April 4: Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir, Dr. Moulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq, has expressed profound grief over the sudden demise of Muqeem Asmi, son of the late Ghulam Mustafa Asmi, who passed away just days after his father’s demise

A close relation of the Mirwaiz family , Mirwaiz termed the back-to-back loss of two members of the family within a week as heartbreaking.

Mirwaiz recalled Muqeem Asmi as a humble and well-mannered individual, and said that his death at a relatively young age is very unfortunate .

Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir led the Nimaz-e-Jinazah of the deceased, which was attended by relatives, friends, and prominent members of society, including Mufti Azam Nasir-ul-Islam, also a close relation of the deceased.

He conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, especially his young children and brothers Tahir Asmi, Rafi Asmi, and Nissar Asmi, and prayed to Almighty Allah to grant maghfirah to both the departed souls, elevate their Drajaat and give patience and strength to the family to bear the immense loss of both members.
