Lt Gen Bhalla reviews Operational preparedness in Siachen & Forward areas

Ladakh, Oct 05: Lieutenant General Hitesh Bhalla, General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the Fire and Fury Corps, visited forward posts of the Forever in Operations Division and the Siachen Brigade to review the operational preparedness and overall security situation along the northern borders. During the visit, Lt Gen Bhalla interacted with troops deployed in extreme high-altitude areas and commended their professionalism, resilience, and unwavering dedication in carrying out their duties under some of the most challenging weather and terrain conditions in the world. The GOC appreciated the efforts of field formations in integrating modern technology to enhance operational efficiency, surveillance, and situational awareness along the northern borders. Exhorting all ranks to maintain the highest standards of professionalism and readiness, Lt Gen Bhalla reaffirmed the Corps’ commitment to safeguarding the nation’s frontiers and supporting soldiers operating in some of the world’s toughest environments.
