Srinagar, May 1: Gusty winds accompanied by rain and thunderstorms swept across several parts of the Kashmir Valley on Friday, bringing a sudden change in weather conditions.

Reports of intense winds and brief spells of rainfall were received from multiple areas, with thunderstorm activity observed in various districts, particularly in north Kashmir. The weather shift followed an advisory issued earlier, warning of possible rain and thundershowers in the region.

Residents, however, reported strong winds and lightning in several areas, prompting people to remain indoors during peak intensity.

Authorities have urged caution, especially in open areas, as weather conditions may remain unstable over the next few hours.
