Srinagar, May 6: A large number of social and political activists from the Central Shalteng Assembly constituency on Wednesday joined the Apni Party at a function held at the party headquarters in Srinagar.
Party president Altaf Bukhari, along with senior leaders, welcomed the new entrants and termed their joining a reflection of growing public support for the party.
Addressing the gathering, Bukhari said the move was not just a political decision but an indication that the party’s vision and policies are resonating with the people.
He noted that despite not winning the 2024 Assembly elections, the party continues to attract support.
He reiterated the party’s commitment to peace, development and stability in Jammu and Kashmir, with a special focus on creating opportunities for the youth. Bukhari said the party aims to steer the region towards a future defined by growth and progress rather than conflict.
The event concluded with party leaders and new members pledging to work together for the welfare and development of the region.
