SDM Office Uri official conferred Sarvottam Jeevan Raksha Padak

New Delhi, Jan 26: The President of India has approved the conferment of the Jeevan Raksha Padak Series of Awards – 2025 on 36 individuals from various States and Union Territories, recognising acts of exceptional courage and life-saving bravery.
According to an official notification issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) from Kartavya Bhavan-3, New Delhi, Pawan Singh, an official serving in the SDM Office Uri, has been conferred the prestigious Sarvottam Jeevan Raksha Padak.
The MHA notification, issued yesterday, lists awardees across different categories under the Jeevan Raksha Padak series. Pawan Singh, who hails from Doda district, has been serving in Uri for the last few years and is widely known for his dedication, courage and commitment to public service.
The Jeevan Raksha Padak awards are among the country’s highest civilian honours for life-saving acts, given to individuals who display extraordinary bravery in rescuing people from accidents, drowning, fire incidents and other life-threatening situations.
Officials said the honour reflects the government’s continued recognition of frontline public service and selfless acts of bravery across the nation.
