Rana visits Surankote, consoles families of Kuwait accident victims

Surankote, April 12: Minister for Jal Shakti, Forest, Ecology and Environment, and Tribal Affairs, Javed Ahmed Rana, on Sunday visited Bachaianwali village in Surankote and expressed deep condolences to the families of the victims of the recent Kuwait accident.

The minister met the bereaved families and expressed grief over the untimely demise of their loved ones.

It is pertinent to mention that six men from Rajouri and Poonch districts lost their lives in a road accident in Kuwait.

Standing in solidarity with the families in this hour of grief, the minister prayed for eternal peace for the departed souls and strength to the bereaved to bear the loss. He said that every possible effort would be made to provide immediate relief and extend necessary assistance to the affected families. He assured them that the government is committed to supporting them during this difficult period.

Rana also urged the Ministry of External Affairs to expedite all legal and procedural formalities to ensure early repatriation of the mortal remains of the victims. He said he would take up the matter with the concerned authorities to ensure swift action.
