Police, locals rescue unconscious visitor in Sonamarg

Sonamarg, Jan 30: In a heartening display of humanity amid harsh winter conditions, a local resident of Sonamarg, Firdous Ahmad Mir, along with personnel from the Tourist Police, on Friday rescued a tourist who fell unconscious in the snow-bound area.

According to Reports the tourist hailing from Mumbai suddenly collapsed, triggering an immediate response from Mir and the Tourist Police team present nearby. Acting swiftly, they provided initial assistance and coordinated the evacuation of the unconscious tourist to a nearby hospital.

They later confirmed that the tourist is now stable and out of danger, attributing the positive outcome to the timely intervention and quick coordination on the ground.

The incident has been widely appreciated by locals and visitors alike, highlighting the spirit of compassion and cooperation that continues to define Sonamarg, especially during challenging winter conditions.
