MLA Budgam Holds Public Darbar in Budgam

Budgam: May 07:-  MLA Budgam, Aga Syed Muntazir Mehdi on Thursday said that his priority remains improving basic amenities and enhancing the development index of the Budgam constituency to ensure that public issues are addressed across all villages of the Budgam constituency.

 

The MLA made these remarks while interacting with media persons during a public outreach programme and Public Darbar held at Pallar. Senior government officials also attended the event to listen to the grievances and demands of local residents.

 

During the Public Darbar, people from the area raised several issues related to education, healthcare, irrigation, road connectivity and other civic amenities. The MLA, along with concerned officials, took note of the grievances and assured the public that the issues would be resolved in a phased manner in accordance with government rules and regulations.

 

Speaking to the reporters, Aga Muntazir Mehdi said he has been continuously visiting villages across the constituency to remain connected with the people and understand their concerns firsthand.

 

“I visited every village before the elections and will continue to tour all areas of my constituency. These visits help me listen directly to the grievances and aspirations of the people,” he said.

 

Referring to the development status of Pallar village, the MLA said that the village had been granted “Model Village” status by the government in 2013 with the expectation that it would witness significant development.

 

“However, during my visit to Pallar, I observed that much of the expected development has not taken place. Through the Public Darbar, I received detailed information regarding the pressing demands of the people concerning education, health services, irrigation facilities and road infrastructure,” he said.

 

The MLA assured residents that he would make every possible effort in the coming days to address the basic issues of the village and ensure better facilities for the people.

 

He reiterated that resolving public issues and improving essential infrastructure across all villages of the Budgam constituency remains one of his top priorities as MLA.
