J&K Security Hqrs hosts annual award ceremony to recognise excellence

Jammu, Dec 31: The Security Headquarters of Jammu and Kashmir hosted its Annual Award Function on Wednesday, honouring outstanding personnel for their exemplary service in 2025. The event was presided over by Inspector General of Police (IGP) Security J&K, Sujit Kumar (IPS). The ceremony saw the attendance of senior officials, including SSP Security Jammu, Commandants of Jammu-based Security Battalions, Commandant JKAP 3rd and 12th Battalion, SSP Civil Secretariat J&K, SSP PTWS J&K, and other Gazetted Officers of the Security Wing. Additionally, SSP Security Kashmir, Commandant JKAP 11th Battalion, and other officials participated via virtual mode. During his address, IGP Sujit Kumar provided a detailed briefing on the achievements of the Security Wing throughout 2025, highlighting key operational milestones and overall performance. He commended the dedication and professionalism of officers and personnel, noting their unwavering commitment despite challenging operational conditions. A formal award ceremony followed, during which select officers and personnel were felicitated with mementoes and commendation certificates for their outstanding contributions. The awards recognised their exemplary service, significant performance, and efforts in strengthening the region’s security infrastructure. The event concluded with an appeal from the IGP for continued dedication and professionalism, urging all ranks to uphold their duties with integrity in the upcoming year to further solidify the security framework of Jammu and Kashmir.
