Lockdown extended till May 10
Srinagar, May 04: In view of the rising COVID positive cases and to arrest its spread, The government on Tuesday extended ‘corona curfew’ till May 10 in four districts of JK including Srinagar and Jammu.
“*The Corona Curfew in 4 districts extended. Samba to also be under curfew* In view of the trend in COVID positive cases, the positivity rate and the cases per million, the Corona Curfew in the 4 districts of Srinagar, Baramulla, Budgam and Jammu (sic),” the official twitter handle of Directorate Information said.
“which is there till 7 am on Thursday, 6 May 2021, will stand extended till 6 am on Monday, 10 May 2021. In addition, Samba district will also be under Corona Curfew from 7 pm on Wednesday 5 May 2021 till 7 am on Monday, 10 May 2021.(sic),” it said.
With no let up in COVID-19 cases, the government Sunday also ordered extension for the closure of all educational establishments across Jammu and Kashmir till May-31.
The government also said that the complete Corona night curfew shall continue to remain imposed within municipal urban local body limits in Jammu and Kashmir every weekend in all districts from 7pm each on Friday till 7am each Monday.
