Srinagar, May 6: A search operation is ongoing in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district to locate a boy who is feared to have drowned in Nallah Sindh last month, officials said.
The missing boy has been identified as Muneer Ahmad Shah, son of Mehboob Shah and a resident of Wussan Bella. He reportedly went missing on April 26 and is suspected to have drowned in the river.
Rescue teams from the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), including units from Ganderbal, Gund, and the Quick Response Team (QRT) Manasbal, have been deployed in the area. An additional team from the SDRF’s Bemina campus in Srinagar is also assisting in the operation.
Officials said the search is being carried out at multiple locations along Nallah Sindh, with efforts continuing to trace the missing boy.
Authorities have not ruled out any possibilities, and the operation remains underway.
