Jammu, Apr 16: The Jammu & Kashmir government has extended the tenure of the Chairman of the Committee for Fixation, Determination and Regulation of Fee of Private Schools.

As per notification S.O. 112 issued by the School Education Department, Justice Retired Sunil Hali will continue as Chairman under Rule 4(3) of the J&K Private Schools Fixation, Determination and Regulation of Fee Rules, 2022.

The extension will take effect from March 31, 2026, when his previous term ends. He will serve for one more month or until a new Chairman is appointed, whichever comes earlier.

The government has kept all terms and conditions of the post unchanged, as notified earlier vide S.O. 168 dated March 24, 2023.

The move ensures continuity in the functioning of the fee regulation panel that oversees private school fee structures in J&K.
