DC Kulgam directs for timely completion of projects

Kulgam,  Jan 06: To assess the progress of ongoing works under the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS), a meeting of officers was chaired by the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan here at the mini-secretariat Kulgam.
According to a statement issued here, during the meeting,  through a detailed presentation, the DC was briefed about  the status of ongoing projects in the district.
It was informed that the RDSS, with a project cost of Rs 113 crore, aims to strengthen the power distribution infrastructure in the district by installing 618 new distribution transformers and 350 km of LT Aerial Bundled Cables (ABC) and 450 Ckm of HT reconductor Circuit kmts.
It was further shared that the initiative is designed to reduce Aggregate Technical and Commercial (AT&C) losses in Kulgam.
It was given out that 93% progress has been made in installation of HT/LT electric poles  and 35 % in DT installation has been completed.
The DC instructed to mobilize men and machinery to ensure completion of projects well in time besides proper coordination between different departments.
The DC emphasised the importance of completing the works within the stipulated timeline to enhance the reliability and efficiency of the power distribution system in the district.
Furthermore, the DC directed the executing agency to complete the process of  Training Testing Inspection and Commissioning (TTIC) of all completed feeders.
