CM Omar Abdullah chairs J&K Cable Car Corporation board meeting in Gulmarg

Gulmarg, May 6: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah chaired a meeting of the Board of Directors of the Jammu and Kashmir Cable Car Corporation at Gulmarg on Wednesday to review ongoing projects and future plans.

During the meeting, officials presented detailed updates on key initiatives, with a special focus on upgrading the famous Gulmarg Gondola. The proposed improvements aim to increase passenger capacity, improve efficiency, and enhance safety through modern infrastructure.

The Chief Minister stressed the need to complete projects on time and adopt the latest technology. He also highlighted the importance of maintaining high safety standards, especially as tourist numbers continue to rise.

Omar Abdullah said that strengthening tourism infrastructure is essential for boosting the local economy and creating more opportunities in the region.

Several senior officials attended the meeting, including Advisor to the Chief Minister Nasir Aslam Wani, Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo, and senior officers from tourism and development departments.
