Why stressed and strained

The only way to avoid stress and strain is to be more cautious

Posted on Jan 10, 2022 | Author KAIFI AZAM

Life is more than a simple run. It has become more and more complex with the advancement in science and technology. In the good old days, there was neither scientific nor industrial development, people used to live which was close to nature and hence stressless. But now life has turned complicated. Our lives are full of stress and strain.

P B shelley, the great romantic poet, wrote:

Alas I have neither hope nor health

Nor peace within nor calm around

Nor that content surpassing wealth.

The sage in meditation found!

And walked with inward glory crowned.

Life is full of frictions. We have no contentment. Everyone is in hurry. Right from morning till evening, life has become an unbroken rut, a busy schedule and an unending nightmare. We have numberless problems.

For cherished relations we must be polite and courteous as bitterness exacerbate human relations and create friction. C.E.M Jaad has beautifully asserted that if we stand at a red light crossing and ask everyone why is he in hurry, he would reply that he is going to a club, a coffee house or a cabaret dance show and hardly one out of ten would say that he is going to attend a patient in a hospital. So, we are living a stressful life without any reason.

At present, the young boys and girls are suffering from diabetics, blood pressure and some other chronic diseases. Why? The reason is that everyone is busy and has no time to rest. We have become the victims of self invented ailment and maladies. We are isolated, alienated and of course frustrated. Something is always hanging on our heads. The more we think about our future, the more stressful our present becomes.

The only way to avoid stress and strain is to be more cautious.
