Srinagar, May 5: A scientist of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir has been awarded with ‘IAUA Outstanding PhD Thesis Research Award 2025’.
The award has been conferred to Dr. Naila Majid, assistant professor at SKUAST-K’s Faculty of Fisheries, Rangil in Social Sciences category by Indian Agricultural Universities Association (IAUA) with a citation and Rs 50,000 award money.
The IAUA award is a highly competitive national distinction designed to recognize original and outstanding doctoral research that contributes significantly to agricultural development and scientific advancement.
Dr. Naila’s work was specifically recognized within the discipline of Fisheries Extension, following her doctoral studies at the ICAR-Central Institute of Fisheries Education (CIFE), Mumbai.
Vice Chancellor, SKUAST-K, Prof. Nazir Ahmad Ganai congratulated Dr Naila for being selected for the award and applauded the continuous efforts of faculty members of SKUAST-Kashmir who consistently bring laurels to the institution through scientific and academic excellence.
