No shortage of life-saving drugs in Kashmir: Deputy Drug Controller

Srinagar, Dec 27: The Jammu and Kashmir government on Monday stated that there is no dearth of life-saving drugs in the Valley and urged people not to panic as drugs are easily available in the Union Territory.
Talking to Rising Kashmir, Deputy Drug Controller Kashmir, Irfana Ahmad Monday dismissed the reports of shortage of life-saving drugs in Kashmir.
She said stated that all life-saving drugs are freely available throughout the valley.
Irfan said apart from life-saving drugs, all seasonal drugs are also available in the markets. “The department is periodically receiving feedback from Pharma distribution associations and other sources. As such there is no shortage of any drug in Kashmir,” she said.
She also said if any patient is facing the issue of availing of the life-saving drugs, they can contact the authorities; the matter will be taken on a priority basis.
Pertinently, there were some reports that Kashmir is facing a shortage of anti-cold and other life-saving drugs.
