He added that KMCH is the first private medical college in Jammu and Kashmir with a planned capacity of 1,000 beds, and all super-speciality services are expected to be operational this year.

“We are expecting National Medical Commission (NMC) inspection this year to start the first batch of 150 MBBS students. Dialysis, Cath Lab along with multiple state-of-the-art services and modern facilities will also be launched soon,” he said.

Prof. Nazir Ahmad Khan further emphasised that the institute remains committed to delivering patient-centric, affordable and quality healthcare, particularly for the underprivileged sections of society.

He said KMCH has already conducted over a dozen such camps across the Valley and is actively planning to expand its outreach through more community-based healthcare initiatives.

Doctors from various specialties examined patients and provided treatment during the camp. The medical camp saw participation of 2,000 patients who were treated free.

Meanwhile, patients who availed free consultations and medicines lauded KMCH’s initiative, stating that it brought much-needed healthcare services closer to the community.
