Director Jammu & Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI), Tufail Matto on Friday chaired a review meeting at the institute’s Pampore campus.
During the review meeting, the progress made under different self-employment and entrepreneurship development schemes being implemented by the institute and the related issues were discussed threadbare.
The meeting was attended by all District Nodal Officers of JKEDI for Kashmir division and in-charge officers of the concerned sections.
During the meeting the Director JKEDI exhorted upon all the District Nodal Officers to double their efforts in reaching out to the educated youth and encourage them to take up entrepreneurship as their career.
The meeting decided that the institute shall soon start training programs under Himayat Self Employment Scheme (HSES) and Youth Startup Loan Scheme (YSLS) to help more educated unemployed youth to establish their own business ventures.
The Director also took a review of the recovery and repayment process under different lending schemes being implemented by the institute.
He urged the concerned officers to reach out to the beneficiaries who have availed soft loans from JKEDI under different schemes and stay connected with them for updating of their contact details.
