Nahida said “I have seen very difficult times and when I remember those, I get tears in my eyes. Seeing your family in a miserable condition tears a person apart. Life is unpredictable but you need to hold on and grab the opportunity. A person cannot sit in one place and keep regretting.”

Adnan, who has been a popular musician of Kashmir, was always intrigued with how the event management companies used to plan everything and take care of every small detail.

Over the years, there has been an increased demand for wedding photographers in Kashmir and many youths have ventured into this profession. However, female wedding photographers were unheard of until recently.

Almost everybody in Saba's family was very fond of chocolate dates and she would get huge requests to bring them along when she would return back home from Saudi.

“I started this venture a year ago in mid-2020 after seeing the plight of our artisans and how many of them were leaving it that has been generationally running in their families due to lack of market opportunities,” she said.
