There are many universities in Jammu and Kashmir that are a right choice for the students who wish to take admission in undergraduate, postgraduate and Ph.D courses. This article details about Universities that offer admissions to different courses annually.

University of University

Kashmir University offers various courses to Indian and international students. The university offers various UG, PG and research programs. Indian and International students who want to pursue the Kashmir University courses must fill out a registration form.

The registration form is posted online on the university website. Applicants must fill out the registration form and submit it along with the relevant documents. The application process and documents are mentioned below:

25 June 2022 is the last date for Kashmir University Admission 2022-23. The University of Kashmir is accepting applications for its various undergraduate and graduate programs for the 2022-23 academic year. Students interested in applying can do so through the university's official website.

The varsity located at Hazratbal, Srinagar is UGC and NAAC approved Kashmir University. In 2019, the university was ranked 53 by NIRE. It is a state university that is known for giving students a great learning opportunity in different programs. It offers B.Tech, BA LLB, B.Pharm, LLB, B.Ed, and more. The University of Kashmir will soon announce its admission schedule for session 2022.

KU admission 2022:

The University of Kashmir is accepting applications for its numerous undergraduate and graduate programmes starting in the academic year 2022-2023. It is possible for students who wish to apply to the university to do so on the university’s official website.

The University of Kashmir offers courses in various streams like BBA, BA, B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA, M.Com, etc. Students with 10+2 certificates from some known institutes with 45% scores can apply for UG Courses. And for PG Courses, the candidates must have a graduation degree with a minimum of 55% scores.

KU UG admission:

The minimum requirement for admission to a UG course at Kashmir University is the completion of 12th level education from a recognised institution or board. Some professional degrees require a bachelor’s degree from a UGC-approved university.

Admission to some courses is based on scores of entrance exams administered by the university. Additionally, the university accepts scores from state/ national level entrance exams. The JEE mains test is required for admission to the B.Tech program, and candidates with higher marks will get the seat.

BBA: Bachelor of Business Administration is a professional degree course offered by the University of Kashmir. Candidates who have passed the 10+2 examination from some known institute can apply for this degree program.
BA.LLB: It is a 5 years long duration integrated programme. Candidates with a 10+2 degree can apply for this program at the University of Kashmir.
B.Ed: Bachelor of Education is a UG level degree programme. Candidates with a graduation degree can apply for this program.
B-Tech: On the least basis, a student must be qualified one up to the level of 12th standard. This qualification must have been obtained by passing the last examination with almost 50% minimum marks and 45% marks for SC/ST candidates.

KU PG admission:

· M.Tech: Master of Technology is a full-time engineering course that takes 2 years to complete. Students with a B.Tech or equivalent degree from any UGC recognised university can apply for admission to this course.

· M.Com: Those students who have an interest and want to make a career in the field of commerce can opt for a Master’s in commerce degree. Candidates with a B.Com degree or equal can apply for this course at the University of Kashmir.

· M.Sc: The University of Kashmir offers master’s degrees in numerous fields. An MSc is a postgraduate degree that takes a minimum of two years to complete. To be eligible for admission to this program, candidates must have completed their Bachelor’s degree in the relevant field. Students are admitted based on their performance in their qualifying examinations.

· MLIS: Excluding the entrance exam, the merit criteria for this includes having studied BLIS or a similar UG degree in the past academic session and its last annual examination that was qualified with marks of more than 50%.

Central University of Kashmir

Central University of Kashmir (formerly known as the Central University of Jammu and Kashmir) was established in March 2009 with the appointment and joining of Prof. Abdul Wahid Qureshi, a noted academician and the former Vice Chancellor of University of Kashmir, as the First Vice Chancellor. The University will offer innovative courses for complimenting the efforts of the already existing Universities in the State. With a focus on the holistic personality development of the students, all the academic programmes will be having Core, Elective, Skill-based and Social-orientation courses.

At the Central University of Kashmir 22 May 2022 is the last date to apply for Central University of Kashmir Admission 2022-23. It will take admission to its bachelor's degrees on the basis of the Common Universities Entrance Test 2022 (CUET) conducted by the National Testing Agency. The NTA has released the registration form, and interested students can apply for the entrance test until 22 May 2022 as the last date has been extended.

It is accredited by the UGC (University Grants Commission). It offers courses in various streams such as Education, Arts, Commerce, Arts, and Management, to name a few. Interested students who want to pursue courses at the Central University of Kashmir must clear qualifying tests from the CUCET board.

About CUCET:

· National Testing Agency has been entrusted with the responsibility of conducting the Undergraduate Entrance Tests for all the Central Universities (CUs) for the academic session 2022-23.

· CUET (UG) 2022 will provide a single window opportunity to students to seek admission in any of the Central Universities (CUs) across the country for various Undergraduate Programmes.

· The National Testing Agency (NTA) will be conducting the Common University Entrance Test (CUET (UG) – 2022) for admission to various Undergraduate courses/ programmes offered by central and other participating Universities/ Institutes across the country for the academic year 2022-23 in CBT Mode.

Islamic University of Science and Technology

Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) located in Pulwama was founded in 2005 and is affiliated with the UGC. The varsity offers admission in different diploma, UG, PG, and PhD level programs in many specializations. Candidates with 10+2 in science subjects from some known institutes can apply for UG Courses. And for PG Courses, candidates must have a graduation degree with a minimum of 60% scores.

The university offers UG and PG courses like BA, B.Sc, BTech, MA, M.Sc, Mtech, MBA, and Diploma courses like Diploma in Civil Engineering, Diploma in Electrical Engineering, and Diploma in Mechanical engineering. IUST Admission 2022: 30 July 2022 is the last date of IUST Admission 2022-23. Interested students can apply for admission by visiting the official website of the university.

The selection at IUST is merit-based, and it provides excellent placement openings to students. The place allows them to grow and learn new things with ease. IUST UG admission

B.Tech: Bachelor of Technology is an undergraduate engineering programme that takes 4 years to complete. Students who have passed the 10+2 with science subjects from a reputable institute can apply for admission to the program at IUST University.
BA (Honours): Bachelor of Arts Honours (BAH) is a UG level degree course offered by IUST University in many different disciplines. This degree program is open to students who have completed 10+2 in any stream.
BBA: The Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program is offered across multiple specializations in India. The qualification for admission to this programme is passing the 12th board examination with a good merit score.

IUST PG admission:

· MBA: Master of Business Administration is a PG level professional programme. Students with a 50% or higher grade in their graduation program can apply for this course at IUST University.

· M.Tech: Candidates who have graduated with good grades can apply for this course at IUST University. Only those students who perform well in the entrance exam will get admission. Generally, seats are allocated based on GATE scores.

· MCA: Master of Computer Application is a professional degree course in the computer technology field. One can make a career in the field of information technology after completing this master’s degree. Students with a graduation degree in the relevant discipline can apply for this program at IUST University.

Central University of Jammu

Central University of Jammu Ph.D. Admission 2022: Central University of Jammu Admission Notification for Ph.D. Progamme for session 2022-23 Online applications are invited from the eligible candidates for admission to Ph.D. degree programme in different disciplines in the Central University of Jammu for the session 2022-23 under exempted category (for NET qualified/appeared candidates).
