9 teachers terminated for unauthorized absence in Kashmir

Director School Education Kashmir(DSEK) on Friday has ordered termination of services of nine teachers for unauthorized absence.

 Director School Education Kashmir(DSEK) on Friday has ordered termination of services of nine teachers for unauthorized absence.

 
In this regard,  DSEK has issued orders against all teachers. The teachers include Aijaz Ahmad Bhat (GPS Shuloora Kupwara), Saima Gani (teacher BHSS Zadibal Srinagar), Suhail Anees (Teacher BHS Nawagabra Kupwara), Mohammad Rafiq Khan, (RReT MS Fraw GAnderbal),Sheetal Bhat (Teacher PM’s package, posted in BHSS Kupwara), Nazia Mushtaq (BHS Laderwan Kupwara), Arumeall Koul, Ranjeet Kour (Teacher HS Kralweth Baramulla) and Sunil Kumar Raina who was appointed in the department as teacher under PM package and subsequently posted in MS Moti Mohalla Nishat Srinagar but “remained unauthorizedly absent from duties from 1 November 2017.
 
One of the orders for example, regarding  Aljaz Ahmad Bhat, was appointed in the Department as Teacher on 04/07/2015 and was subsequently posted at GPS Shuloors, Kupwara; and Whereas, he joined on 04/08/2015 and from the next day viz 05/08/2015, he remained un-authorizedly absent from his legitimate duties; and despite providing of enough opportunities to the absconding teacher to resume his duties by the Drawing & Disbursing officer, but neither he responded the notices nor resumed his duties; and Whereas, the said teacher was again provided opportunity by this office on 06/07/2021 (through a joint show cause notice), wherein the he was directed to present himself before this Directorate along with statement of defense within 07 days falling which action as warranted under rules shall be initiated against him without serving further notice reads the order.
 
 
 The order reads neither the teacher presented himself before this Directorate nor responded to these notices, indicating thereby that he is not interested to work in the Department; and  un-authorized absence from duties attracts action as warranted in terms of article 113 of J&K Civil Services Rules (Volume 1) of 1956, which reads as under:
 
Article 113 "After five years of continous absence on leave an officer is considered to be out of state employee."hereas, the issue was placed before the Designated Committee in its meeting held on 11/12/2021 and after examining the case the committee took the following decision: "Process termination under Article-113 JAK CSR of 1956
 
Now, therefore, pursuant to the decision of the committee, Mr. Aijaz Ahmad Bhat, Teacher, GPS Shuloora, Kupwara is hereby removed from the Government service in terms of Article 113 of J&K Civil Services Rules (Volume I) of 1956 and rule 30(vii) of J&XCCA rules 1956.
