Volleyball Summer camp commences in Poonch

Poonch, May 20: Shaheed DySP Manjit Singh Memorial Volleyball Club on Friday commenced a Summer Coaching camp at Government Degree College Ground Poonch.
The camp, which is being held under the banner of Volleyball Association of Jammu and Kashmir (VAJK) and is being organised by Shaheed DySP Manjit Singh Memorial Volleyball Club, Poonch involved a total of 55 young boys and six girls.
During the camp, young talented spikers shall be trained by father son duo of Mohd Tariq, level 1 and Ramiz Tariq, NIS, level 1 and level 2 coaches.
Earlier, the camp was declared open by Chief guest, SSP Poonch, Rohit Baskotra, who was accompanied by guest of honour, SP Munish Sharma.
On the occasion District Police Chief highlighted the role of Shaheed Manjit Club in promoting sports, especially the volleyball game.
He, on the occasion appreciated Chairman of the club and coach, Mohd Tariq for guiding the youngsters towards  the excellence in volleyball.
Saleem Banday, Chairman MD Banday Society, Pradeep Khanna, senior citizen Imran Shah, Matinderpal Singh and Ramiz Tariq were also present on the occasion.
