VC KVIB launches awareness programs in Suchetghar

Jammu, Jan 11: Acting swiftly on the directions of Lieutenant Governor to reach out to unemployed youth of border belts with employment schemes falling under the umbrella of JK KVIB, Vice Chairperson, Jammu and Kashmir Khadi and Village Industries Board (KVIB), Dr. Hina Shafi Bhat, Tuesday launched  awareness programs  in Suchetghar,  R.S Pura, Jammu.
Among others present were Block Development Council Chairman, Sarpanchs, Panchs and officers of the Board.
Addressing on the occasion, Vice Chairperson assured the educated unemployed youth particularly women that they will be provided with all kind of hand holding support to fight against economic deprivation in border areas of J&K.
She said that the Board has taken pledge to eradicate unemployment among the people in border areas of the UT.
These programmes will continue in several other border areas of the UT for more than two months to sensitize the people here about various self employment schemes of JK KVIB.
She informed that skill development programs will also be started soon in these border areas to enhance skill of people there under different trades, for which the financial assistance will be provided by the JK KVIB.
Meanwhile, the Cultural wing of DIPR, Jammu, presented a mesmerizing cultural program based on awareness themes as part of Azadi ka Mahotsav during the awareness programs.
