MeT predicts dry weather till June 28
• Higher reaches receive fresh snowfall, rains lash plains

Srinagar, June 22: After six days of inclement weather, the Meteorological Department has forecasted mainly dry and clear weather in Kashmir till June 28, officials said on Wednesday.
Deputy Director MeT Srinagar Centre, Mukhtar Ahmad told Rising Kashmir that Kashmir experienced rains accompanied with snowfall at higher reaches on Wednesday.
“Weather will likely remain dry and clear till June 28th and thereafter there is a possibility of light rains in the region. However there is no prediction of any major weather activity,” he said.
As per MeT data, on Wednesday heavy rainfall was recorded at various places in Kashmir including, Kokernag 9.6mm, Pahalgam 4mm, Qazigund 8mm, Kupwara 1.7mm, Gulmarg 10mm, Kulgam 9mm, Srinagar 2mm, Holy Cave 23mm and Chandanwari 6 mm.
While higher reaches including Afarwat Gulmarg, Pahalgam, Shopian, Keran, and Sonamarg received fresh snowfall of a few inches on Wednesday.
