KMBA to hold open athletic meet on Jan 16

Srinagar, Jan 14: The Kashmir Mountain Biking Association (KMBA) is going to organize the first-ever athletic meet at the synthetic track at Pampore on Monday, officials said on Friday. 

 

 

President KMBA, Mushtaq Ahmad Bhat told Rising Kashmir that the event will have different age groups and will be supervised by the valley's top experienced veteran athletes.

 “It is pertinent to mention here that this event will be the first event conducted on this track and will also have free entry after on-spot registration and reporting time is 9:00 AM,” he said.

 Bhat said athletic meet comprises of various events which include under 16 boys- 100m, 600m, and 2000m, in above 16 years boys category- 100m, 8000m, and 5000m, while in above 30 years men category- 100m, 800m, and 5000m, while in open event girls category- 100m and 800mts.
