JKMEAGA welcomes govt’s decision for re-organization of engineering staff

Posted on May 17, 2022 | Author RK News
Srinagar, May 16: The Jammu and Kashmir Mechanical Engineering Graduates Association (JKMEAGA) Monday welcomed the implementation of administrative decision for re-organization of engineering staff in R&B and Mechanical Engineering.
They appealed to the re-organization committee that a full-fledged Mechanical Engineering Health Services Department may be created for common services to all the Hospitals across Jammu & Kashmir for proper design/operation.
Association said that Jal Jeevan Mission has further necessitated the creation of Mechanical Divisions and sub divisions in every district as the surface water source / gravity source is getting depleted day by day and one has to rely on ground water resources in future.
Association further said there is need to increase Divisions both in Kashmir Jammu Division to care of all flood prone water channels, Nallahs, etc including Jhelum & River Tawi in Jammu region.
It said that the Mechanical Engineering Department must be given due role in the Disaster Management, so that the department remains fully prepared in case of any eventuality.
Furthermore, it said  the increase and expansion of Mechanical Staff in sister Department's like JKPDC, JKPCC, H&UDD, Agriculture production and Horticulture Deptt., Motor Vehicle Deptt, Industries etc is unavoidable for better public services.
