Govt orders inquiry in allowing services of retired officers in CUS

Appoints Deeraj Gupta as IO to conduct inquiry

Srinagar, Aug 05: Jammu and Kashmir government on Friday ordered enquiry into how retired officers were allowed to continue their services in Cluster University, Srinagar (CUS).
In this regard, the government has appointed Principal Secretary, Housing & Urban Development Department Deeraj Gupta as Inquiry Officer (IO) to conduct a time-bound enquiry into the matter.
The IO has been asked to enquire into how retired officers were allowed to continue in CUS and submit the report within one month.
An per the government order issued here, "Sanction is hereby accorded to appointment of Dheeraj Gupta IAS, Principal Secretary to Government, Housing & Urban Development Department as Inquiry Officer to conduct an enquiry into the matter of allowing retired officers to continue in Cluster University, Srinagar and to fix responsibility of the officers/officials who exceeded their authority and passed orders without approval of competent authority."
The Special Secretary, Higher Education Department shall be the Presenting Officer (PO) in the case.
