Gen Sec National Panthers Trade Union demand regularization of SPOs

Srinagar, Aug 17: General Secretary National Panthers Trade Union Sewa Singh Bali along with some disengaged SPOs on Tuesday staged a protest demonstration at Press Enclave Srinagar here demanding salary enhancement to Special Police Officers and re-engagement of dismissed SPOs.
 
Bali laid emphasis on the re-engagement, reinstatement, of disengaged, retired SPO’s and regularization of SPO’s and enhancement of salaries as per rules and laws and reply to the notice of High Court for the redressal of grievances by way of re engagement, reinstatement, of disengaged, retired SPO’s and regularization of SPO’s and enhancement of salaries as per rules.
 
He emphasized the redressal of grievances keeping in view the family conditions as SPO’s are working with honesty and dedication but no heed has been paid towards SPO’s who laid their lives for the nation.
 
"It is requested that kindly do the needful and issue orders for the Disengaged SPO’s, retired SPO’s, regularize the services of SPO’s by way of frame policy for regularizing their service and give pensionary benefits to the retired SPO's and reinstate the disengaged SPO’s and give salary equivalent salary compared Constable, for which the PM has already issued PMOPG/D/2021/0015453 and another letter under No. dated 2/8/2021 for the same which also needs to be implemented and give reply to the notice of High Court so that the grievances of the SPO’s, retired SPO’s be redressed," he said.
