GDC Pattan organizes extension lecture on ‘AIDS’

Srinagar, Dec 06: NSS Units and the Red Ribbon Club of Government Degree College Pattan in collaboration with SDH Pattan organized an extension lecture on “AIDS: It's present status and future preparedness” to commemorate the World AIDS Day on December, 6, 2021.
The programme was formally inaugurated by the Principal Prof. Dr. Ghulam Jeelani Qureshi by his inaugural speech. He stressed upon the need to organize such programmes in order to make college students aware about the causes and consequences of this dreadful disease.
The detailed lecture on the topic was delivered by Dr. Shahnaz Ahmad (MBBS, MD), Critical Care, Medical Officer, SDH Pattan. Dr. Shahnaz talked about the history, causes, symptoms and consequences of Aids in detail.
Bint-ul-Huda, a student of BSC 4th semester of the College also presented a topic on AIDS.
The anchoring for the programme was done by Prof. Safeer Mukhtar, NSS Programme Officer Unit-II and the proceedings of the programme were maintained by Prof. As-sami, Convenor Red Ribbon Club.
The programme concluded by Vote of thanks by Dr. Asiya Nazir , NSS Programme Officer, Unit-I.
The event was technically supported by Sajad Naqash.
