Dr Riyaz Farooq appointed as principal Govt Dental College Sgr

Srinagar, Dec 27: Health and Medical Education department has ordered appointment of Dr Riyaz Farooq as the Principal of Government Dental College, Srinagar on Monday.
“Sanction is hereby accorded to the appointment of Dr Riyaz Farooq, Professor and Head Department of Conservative/ Operative dentistry, Government Dental College, as Principal, Government Dental College, Srinagar,” the government reads.
Dr Farooq was presently posted as Principal/Dean, Govt Dental College Srinagar but was awaiting the formal confirmation from the government.
"I am very thankful to the Governor and his administration for giving me due confirmation of the post after 10 years," Dr Riyaz Farooq told Rising Kashmir.
He said that he has been working in the Government Dental College for the last 18 -years and has given his best for the betterment of the college. "My confirmation for the post of principal was pending and has been now provided by the government," he said.
Dr Riyaz said that Dental college Srinagar is one of the best colleges in the country and he has worked hard for making it the best in every respect.
"We have good infrastructure including equipment. We have post-graduation courses, technical courses for the students. I am hopeful that this college will provide the best service to the patients," he said.
