Devotees from South India attend 'Pushkar Sanan' in Shadipora after 12 years

Ganderbal, Nov 30: BharatiyaJanata Party (BJP) General Secretary (Organization) Ashok Koul Tuesday visited Shadipora to welcome the devotees and took cognisance of arrangements of 'PushkarSanan', a party statement said.
Spokesperson BJP, AbhijeetJasrotia and SurinderAmbardar along with the BJP workers welcomed the devotees, the statement added.
Devotees from South India took "the holy dip" in cold water in chilling weather of Kashmir, it further added.
The statement said that the devotees were very happy with the arrangements made by local administration and security forces.
Ashok Koul assured the local people that the area will be developed so that it becomes one more religious tourism place and the local youth will have opportunity to earn their livelihood.
He also thanked the local people of Shadipora for giving "warmth and hospitality" to devotees. Many devotees were living in the houses of locals, the statement said, adding that the festival will continue for three more days.
