DM Shopian launches online services for obtaining certificates

Shopian, Sep 10: In pursuance to the directions of Lieutenant Governor J&K, for enhancing service delivery through digital mode, the District Magistrate (DM) Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishya Friday launched seven online services, here.
The online services include issuance of Character Certificate, Dependent Certificate, Legal Heir Certificate, Marriage Certificate, Income Certificate, OBC, RBA, ALC Certificate and Issuance of SC, ST certificate in all four Tehsils of district Shopian.
It was informed that residents of Shopian can now apply for these Services online and digitally signed certificates shall be issued online to them. The service has been designed and developed using the Service Plus framework of NIC.
The DM after launching the programme, said that these services can be availed by individuals on a portal where they need to register and then fill up the respective application form along with all requisite documents. Further, communication shall be done through email alert and thereafter a digitally signed certificate shall be issued to the applicant.
The Portal also facilitates the applicant to check online status of the application any time and also download digitally signed Certificates.
The Portal is designed and developed by District Informatics Officer, NIC Shopian, Ishfaq Ahmed and his team. The portal shall improve the transparency and efficiency in bringing the issuance of Certificates in a time bound manner.
Vaishya lauded the efforts of the District Informatics Officer, NIC Shopian and his team as well as the Service Plus team of NIC for bringing these seven services online in a short span of time.
