DM Shopian chairs valuation committee meet

Shopian, Dec 07: Chairman, District Valuation Committee District Magistrate (DM) Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishya Tuesday reviewed the land valuation proposed by Valuation Committees for annual notification rates for the year 2022 in the district.
The meeting reviewed the proposals formulated by various departments for revision of annual rates of land vis a vis residential, commercial, agriculture, horticulture , non-cultivable, cultivable — Irrigated and unirrigated among other categories.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Assistant Commissioner, Revenue, R&B and Municipal committee Shopian made their presentations highlighting the methodology adopted, exercises conducted in the field and parameters taken into account for finalization of rates.  
District Magistrate directed the officers to display the final draft in public domain and take into account the feedback and suggestions from all stakeholders. He asked for comprehensive analysis of various parameters while arriving at valuation of land to be fixed which shall include master plan land use, type of land, average sale rates, proximity of public transport, and infrastructure development status among others.
The valuation committee is finalizing rates for the year 2022 as per the provisions laid down SRO 379 of Jammu and Kashmir Preparation and Revision of Market Value Guidelines Rules 2011 which mandates the District Valuation Board to fix the annual rates and valuation of immovable property.
Officers from various departments were also present in the meeting.
 
 
 
Shopian admin pays homage to Imtiaz Thokar
 The Additional Deputy Commissioner, Shopian, Mushtaq Ahmad Simnani accompanied by Assistant Commissioner, Revenue, Shopian, Shabaz Ahmed Boda and other District Officers Tuesday visited the residence of Paratrooper Imtiyaz Thokar, Sena Medal of Shadab Krewa  who gave supreme sacrifice to ensure peace and freedom for his nation.
Imtiyaz Thokar, born at Shadab Krewa and at a young age faced the toughest challenge of being Paratrooper of Special Forces of Indian Army. The tough, brave and dedicated soldier had fought bravely for the Nation.
On the occasion, father of Imtiyaz Thokar projected some issues and demands which include scarcity of electricity and other issues with regard to the redressal of some genuine demands and grievances of public importance, which were patiently heard and taken into consideration for their early solution.
He assured them that all the issues will be resolved within the shortest possible time.
Later, two minutes of silence was also observed at Mini Secretariat Arhama, Shopian in which all the district officers were present.
