Srinagar, July 30: Director General, Jammu and Kashmir Institution Of Management & Public Administration And Rural Development (IMPARD), Saurabh Bhagat, Friday chaired joint valedictory function of two training courses here at IMPARD Main Campus, Srinagar.

These courses included “Planning and Management of Samagra Shiksha in J&K” and “Orientation Course for Gram RozgarSevaks” which were attended by 50 officers.

DG said that since the Rural Development Department is a large organization that works for the socio-economic empowerment of rural people, IMPARD will train its officers and officials at district headquarters.

He added that IMPARD will explore all possibilities to depute these RD functionaries outside the UT for receiving training at other national-level training institutions so that they can get exposure to best practices implemented there.

DG impressed upon the participating officers to work with zeal and zest for the development of the education sector in J&K enabling students here to touch pinnacles of excellence in the world of education. He also made a mention of the Government Model School of Chandigarh whose 80 per cent of students are being absorbed in IITs, IIMs and in other world-class Universities.

Pertinently, the officers from the Directorate of Samagra Shiksha and Department of Education were trained on the Planning and Management part of Samagra Shiksha.
