Covid-19: Shopian admin appeals masses to strictly adhere to CAB, SOPs

Shopian, Jan 15: In view of surge in Covid-19 positive cases in the UT, the District Administration Shopian Saturday urged general public to strictly adhere to Covid-19 Appropriate Behavior (CAB) and related SOPs to prevent the spread of coronavirus, and its highly contagious Omicron variant  in the district.   
The Deputy Commissioner (DC), Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishya today once again appealed Numberdars, religious leaders and others to cooperate with the District Administration in this 3rd wave also like in Ist and 2nd waves and influence upon people to adhere to CAB and related SOPs to save the precious lives.
He also appealed to the masses to come forward for booster doses.
The DC also stressed upon the PRIs to use their influence so that people will follow CAB religiously.
He stressed on the need for use of masks, maintaining social distance, hand washing and not venturing out of their homes unnecessarily.
Earlier, the DC lauded the people of Shopian for their best cooperation in curbing the spread of virus during the Ist and 2nd waves successfully besides helping administration achieving 100 percent target in inoculation.
