Srinagar, Jan 25: The Cycling Federation of India(CFI), national governing body of cycle racing in India Tuesday felicitated  Cyclist Muhammad Akbar Khan who has won two gold medals  in National Road Cycling Championships at Jamakhandi Karnataka and Pathanamthitta, Kerala.

Director Cycling Federation of India VN Singh and General Secratary CFI Maninnder Pal Singh presented award of appreciation to Akbar khan at CFI office in Dwarka, New Delhi.

Akbar khan is currently pursuing PhD in physical education and sports.

He thanked VN Singh Director CFI for all the support and guidance.

"Thank you for being my guiding light, for encouraging me, and for making me who I am today. I am extremely thankful for everything that you do, " he said and added  "Having you as my coach helped me realize what I need to do to be successful not only in sports but also in life."
