Authorities celebrate I-Day at Central Jail Srinagar

Srinagar, Aug 15: On the eve of 75th Independence Day, the Superintendent of Police, Central Jail Srinagar, S. Daljeet Singh hoisted the National Flag during a function held at Central Jail Srinagar.
The official spokesperson said that the CRPF and Jail Officers including Assistant Commandant, Durgesh Rai C/Coy 82 BN CRPF, Jail Doctors, Deputy Superintendents and others Officers/ Staff attended the function.
Jail inmates participated in the celebration and presented colorful Cultural programmes and bhangra, the statement added.
S.P Jail S. Daljeet Singh highlighted the importance of the Independence Day and sacrifices of Freedom fighters of the Country. Sweets were distributed on the occasion and also Bada Khana was served to the Jail inmates.
