Admin to organize ‘Jashn-i-Chilai-Kalan’ event in Shopian on Dec 15

Shopian, Dec 06: The Additional District Magistrate, Shopian, Mushtaq Ahmed Simnani Monday convened a meeting of officers at Mini Secretariat, here to review the arrangements put in place for Jashn-e-Chillai Kalan, being celebrated at Sports Stadium, Batapora, Shopian, on 15th of December, 2021.
The meeting discussed threadbare various issues related to the smooth celebration of the programme.
ADC directed the officials of various departments to preemptively plan for exigencies in view of the ensuing event of Jashn-i-Chillai Kalan and also installation and displaying of banners by various departments at the venue and stressed upon officers to ensure foolproof arrangements in their respective activity.
He exhorted for ensuring a robust mechanism while chairing a meeting on Jashn-i-Chillai Kalan and preparedness of different departments for their respective responsibilities assigned to them.
ADC took stock of department-wise initiatives and works to be undertaken by the District Administration for Jashn-i-Chilaikalan preparedness in the district.
He impressed upon the concerned officers to make necessary arrangements well in advance and asked for Department-wise action plans.
ADM asked the Heads of Departments to pass necessary directions to the concerned officials to work in a synchronized manner to achieve the best possible results on that day and to make the event a great success.
ADM directed Executive Officer Municipal Committee Shopian for proper sanitation measures  and ensuring cleanliness in and around the venue.
Commander, 15th Gadwal, Major Sagar Sharma, Police and all the district Officers were present on the occasion.
 
 
‘Prepare comprehensive disaster management plan’
The Additional District Magistrate, Shopian, Mushtaq Ahmad Simnani Monday asked concerned officials to prepare a comprehensive disaster management plan so that the required manpower, machinery and material can be arranged well in time.
 He made these remarks during a meeting of the officers of Disaster Management at Mini Secretariat Arhama, here.
During the meeting, various issues with regard to the Emergency Operation Centre, establishment of temporary EOS, assessment of the resources and status, training programmes, manpower status, besides identification of vulnerable areas were also discussed threadbare.
The concerned officers on the occasion briefed about the preparations of DPR, funds position, existing resources with ADM Cell, assessment of the resources with allied departments, online uploading of existing resources and disaster specific trainees with specific locations.
The Additional District Magistrate while speaking to the officers enjoined upon them to make sufficient stock of essentials available for the purpose. He stressed the conduct of special training, mock drills and identification of all the vulnerable points in the district.
SDM, Zainapora, Chief Education Officer, Chief Medical Officer, Ex. Engineers of R&B & PHE, Shopian, Tehsildars, Manager, DIC, DYSSO, FC&CA, EO, Municipal Committee, Shopian and various other concerned officers attended the meeting.
