Srinagar, April 30: A fire in the Bemina area of Srinagar on Thursday injured two firefighters and damaged four houses, officials said.
According to officials, the blaze broke out in a residential house near Usmania Colony and quickly spread to nearby homes, affecting a total of four structures before it was brought under control by the Fire and Emergency Department.
Two firefighters, identified as Mohammad Arif and Tanvir Ahmed, sustained injuries while battling the flames. They were involved in efforts to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading further.
Authorities said the cause of the fire is yet to be determined, and an investigation has been initiated.
